SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT SEVENTEENTH ANNUAL JOLIET AREA BLACK COLLEGE FAIR..

On Sunday, November 14, 2010, from 2:00 – 4:30 P.M., Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church, 1502 E. Mills Road, Joliet, IL 60433,
is spearheading its “Seventeenth Annual Joliet Area Black College Fair

The College Fair will offer interested students the opportunity to talk with Alumni of more than 20 Historically Black Colleges/Universities and obtain valuable information pertaining to the availability of scholarships, grants and financial aid. College bound seniors will be eligible to receive a $100.00 or more Scholarship.The awardees will be announced at the close of the Fair. (Evidence of college attendance must be available before claiming scholarship).

Last year fifteen $200.00 scholarships were awarded.

There will also be a Health Fair with the National Hook-up of Black Women doing Diabetes, Cholesterol, and Blood Pressure Screenings, and providing numerous beneficial health care pamphlets. Regional Care of Will County will conduct confidential HIV/AIDS rapid testing.
