Churches united in the fight against AIDS began in 2003, as a local organization working exclusively
to empower churches in the greater Joliet area in the struggle against the HIV/AIDS epidemic
in the African American community.



  • CUFFAA, fosters collaboration and mentorship between health care providers, social services, organization,
    and the African American faith community.
  • Provide basic information and resources to the community regarding
    the role of faith leaders in the community planning process.
  • CUFFA increases community awareness and sensitivity to eliminate the stigmas associated with HIV/AIDS and offers compassionate support to encourage testing, and support for those infected to seek and maintain treatment



  • CUFFAA, is a group of pastors who are working to educate the community about the devastating affect of HIV/AIDS.
  • The pastors are continually learning about this disease, its stimga, its discrimination, and how to bring this needed information to out community
